El Mandeo
This geographical territory, defined by the hydrological basin of the river Mandeo, flows through ten councils in the province of A Coruña: Aranga, Bergondo, Betanzos, Cesuras, Coirós, Curtis, Irixoa, Oza dos Ríos, Paderne y Sobrado.
Declared a protected area by the Nature Net 2000 of Galicia, the area spans about 1,020 hectares and it is a landscape of great natural, cultural, and ecological value.

The architectural, natural, and cultural wealth of the Mandeo includes magical places; where the wild nature dwells among small chapels and delightful ethnographic complexes. The visitor will enjoy natural paradises among banks and rushes, where water offers a thousand and one reflections on the riversides and its many paths.
